At La Gatoria, we believe in creating a lasting impact through our dedication to animal welfare, mental health, and community building. As an impact enterprise, we allocate three-quarters of our gross profits to non-profits like the LAIKA Veterinary Foundation, which provides medical care to shelter animals, and Stray Cat Alliance (SCA), which rescues animals in need. By fostering cats, hosting adoption events, and promoting these organizations, we help ease the burden on animal rescues and support cats in finding loving homes.
Our commitment extends beyond animal welfare. Recognizing that 46% of Americans report feelings of loneliness, we focus on enhancing mental health by fostering a sense of community and providing companionship through our adoptable cats. We host educational events, support local minority businesses, and offer discounts and scholarships to underserved communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQI+, students, seniors, veterans, and women. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming space where patrons can immerse themselves in the pleasures of reading, savor the company of our resident and adoptable cats, and engage in a diverse array of cultural and educational experiences.
